Audrey Barclay was born and raised in Niagara. She has studied under various artists, including Paul Richard James Atelier in Hamilton for portraiture in oil. She is the President of the Parkway Artists' Guild and a member of the Niagara Plein Air Artists. Her artwork is and has been shown and sold at various Niagara shops, galleries and exhibitions.
Audrey believes that the act of creating art can be a means of peaceful reflection and personal growth. She experiments with various mediums and studies other artists with the goal of self-development and improving and learning new art techniques. Her artwork ranges from portraiture in a variety of mediums to nature in watercolour, acrylic and on vintage glass. She draws inspiration from the beauty of Mother Nature in her work. She maintains a creative practice, which takes the time to find out more about her subjects before painting them. She sees this as a gift to herself since her artistic process has led her to form new meaningful connections with people and nature for which she feels truly blessed.
