The event was not to be missed. The juried art show took place in the School of Horticulture, on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Commission Botanical Gardens and was open to all Niagara area artists. The official opening took place on Friday night with a harpist, wine bar and a small buffet. Guest speakers Janice Thomson and Charles Hunter from the Niagara Parks Commission attended. Debbie Whitehouse, the shows juror, was also present to reveal the winner of the "Best In Show". The award went to Karen Kozarevich. Karen's work was an acrylic painting of McFarland House.
Garden workshops, conducted by our guild members, took place throughout the grounds. Rebecca Montemurro and Karen Logan demonstrated technique at the two signature floral demonstrations.
