This talk will focus on the techniques artist Marvyn Rivett uses to create relief prints from linoleum and wood blocks. He will bring completed samples and demonstrate the differences between the tools, blocks, papers and inks that he use.
About the Artist
Marvyn retired in 2001 after 30 years of teaching and now spend most of his time making art. He enjoys painting in oils and acrylics and making prints using linoleum, woodblocks, wood engraving and letterpress. Marvyn is a member of the Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum in Queenston, ON, the Harper Print Studio and the Eustis Art League in Eustis Florida.
