Terms and Conditions of Entry:
The competition is open to all emerging and established artists, 18+ who are permanent residents of the Niagara Region, as determined by the Niagara Regional Government. There is no fee to enter.
How To Enter:
Please email a "promise of intent notification" to dtnsubmission@gmail.com This notification should list their name, address, phone number, and a brief bio. If the artist, for any reason cannot continue to the next phase, please send an email notification.
Important Dates:
March 31, 2026, is the deadline for submissions. Each Artist must fill out and email one entry form to dtnsubmission@gmail.com
This will include;
● One high resolution JPEG image of an original, current, self-portrait,
which has not previously been entered into any competition or exhibition. This work must be executed in the same medium and style the artist intends to use at the gala.
● One high resolution JPEG photo of themselves
Submissions will be juried:
● April 14, 2026: 20 artists will be notified to deliver their actual self-portraits for judging by the Directors
● April 27 & 28, 2026: Self-portraits must be delivered to the Directors,
754 Green Street, Niagara-on-the Lake between 10 am – 3 pm. No artwork will be accepted before or after this time
● May 11: Finalists will be notified
● 8 artists and 1 alternate will be selected to participate in Drawn to Niagara
Restrictions on Artwork:
● Artwork may be presented in any of the following: Watercolour, Acrylic, Oil, Pencil, Pen & Ink, Markers, Collage
● This work must be executed in the same medium and style that you intend to use at the gala
● Artwork must be no larger than 24 x 24 inches or no smaller than 12 x 12 inches on any one side. i.e. 12 x 18 inches
● Artwork must be labeled clearly on the back or underside with the artist's name, address, email address and phone number
● Artwork will also be labeled at intake and a receipt issued by a Director
● Artwork must be wrapped when delivered
