The competition is open to all artists in the Niagara community,

for the “Rooted in the Garden” art show and sale, indoor exhibition
on September 8, 9 and 10, 2017
at the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture on the grounds of Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, Niagara Falls.

The overall theme for the art is "Begin Here", representing Niagara Parks' 132 year history within Canada. Niagara Parks is uniquely important as a natural, cultural and heritage gateway for all.

The art to be submitted should highlight at least one aspect of Niagara Parks. This can include such themes as:
Nature and Horticulture,
History, Heritage and Buildings
Tourism, i.e. people in Niagara Parks.

All original art, including fine art, fine photographs, small/medium portable sculptures, other art may be submitted featuring aspects of Niagara Parks. Art may be abstract as well as traditional. The maximum dimension including frame of 2-D art will be 36 in (91.4 cm). Submission will be by digital image with the application form.

Only ONE image per artist may be submitted.

Open of submission: May 24, 2017 & ongoing
Close of Submission: August 14, 2017
Jury Results: August 21, 2017

Sole Juror for this competition is Deborah Whitehouse, artist and retired Niagara Parks director. Her decision is final.
